REICHEN BARD

About Us.
The first Arts and Crafts movement (late 19th–early 20th century) was a design and social movement that emerged in Britain as a reaction to industrialization. Led by figures like William Morris, it emphasized handcrafted goods, traditional craftsmanship, and simple, functional design, rejecting mass production in favor of quality, authenticity, and artistic integrity. The movement influenced architecture, textiles, furniture, and decorative arts, advocating for a return to skilled craftsmanship and the integration of art into everyday life.

Reichen Bard is working to create a modern "Second Arts and Crafts Movement", adapted to today's world. Like the original Arts and Crafts movement, which emerged as a reaction to industrialization, Reichen Bard seeks to revive craftsmanship and creativity as a response to digital overload, fast fashion, and mass production.

Our approach blends traditional craftsmanship with mindfulness and well-being, making creative practices like Miyuki beadwork a tool for mental health, self-expression, and sustainable artistry. By fostering community engagement, hands-on creativity, and ethical production, Reichen Bard aims to redefine the role of craftsmanship in contemporary society, much like the first movement did in its time.
